Shandi Greve Penrod has worked in strategic communications since 2005, creating PR and marketing for several not-for-profit and for-profit clients and organizations including Congregation Shaare Emeth, Central Reform Congregation, Cape Girardeau Public Schools Foundation, Hype Creative agency, March of Dimes, St. Joseph’s Hospital, an oncology practice, a local community theater company, a national precision machinery corporation, and others. She has also managed internet and content marketing and sales for a retail website and produced and optimized online content, both with her company, Shandi Greve Penrod Communications.
Shandi recently earned her M.A. Communication Management, 4.0, from Webster University, where she wrote her thesis on the history and spread of fake news and the proactive and reactive strategies organizations can use to fight back. Before that, she earned her Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude in Mass Communication – Public Relations at Southeast Missouri State University, where she also minored in Musical Theater and French. She is a lifelong learner, regularly attends Public Relations Society of America and Community Service Public Relations Council events, has studied Internet marketing with private business coaches, and studied Graphic Communication at Southwestern Illinois College. Shandi currently resides in Glen Carbon, Illinois, a Metro-East suburb of St. Louis.
